Paesaggio
Concorso
a dilatarsi negli ambienti espositivi.
The project is placed on the lower part of the river shore: it uses the natural difference in height of the site amplifying it, through a sequence of volumes partly hypogeous covered by green roofs, which
minimize the visual impact of the architecture. These spaces overlook onto the landscape by glazed curtain wall: the windows are like canvases through which the river environment become integral part of
the artistic exhibitions / expositions. The outdoor performace's space is thought like fluid and flexible external space, with paved parts and sittings, and it takes advantage of the natural stage front
which is represented by the ruins; this space can be usable indipendently from the Gallery's timetable, so it is avaiable for the entire community. The various rooms follow one another, held togheter by
a linear distribution element, which passes trhough internal and external spaces transforming itself from hallway into pergola: at the end it expand itself into the expositive spaces. The independent
fruition of the river's shore from all the citizens is not being interrupted from the project's volumes, instead it is facilitated by the creation of a path alternative to the museum one, in the high
part of the bank, which allows to reach the Gallery's entrance from both the existent urban accesses. The museum path is enclosed for external people by the use of architectural elements.
